Location Manager: Hawaii

Summary

This senior executive position has direct oversight for RIM’s Honolulu, HI Office and implements the company’s goals and objectives. This individual develops and promotes the firm’s values and long-range plans, positions the firm for growth and ensures profitability. The Location Manager must be an inspiration leader and be skilled at developing and nurturing customer and professional relationships.


Qualifications

• Authorized to work legally in the United States without restrictions

• Architectural registration in the State of Hawaii required

• 10+ years’ experience in an architectural practice, including managerial experience

• LEED Accredited Professional, or Green Associate

• Strong ties and connections in the local market essential

• Effective business development skills

• Strong communication and listening skills

• Inspirational leadership, project management and organizational skills

• Proven experience leading a team and making client presentations

• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation techniques


Responsibilities

• Promotes RIM’s vision, mission, core values and long-range plans with positivity

• Leads by example supporting company processes and procedures

• Serves as an example of integrity and ethical decision making

• Effectively works together with other senior leaders and Managing Principals

• Responsible, collaboratively, for overall health of RIM – not just location specific

• Works in conjunction with the President and CFO to establish annual location budget

• Ensures profitability, quality assurance, and meets goals and budgets of the office

• Responsible for the location’s business development; securing new work

• Accountable for revenue stream from unbilled labor and expense to client billing and collection of receivables.

• Oversees contracts, subcontracts, change orders and other agreements to ensure that established procedures are being followed.

• Participates in creating and positioning the firm to take advantage of opportunities for growth and marketplace expansions; develops and nurtures client and professional relationships

• Ensures retention/satisfaction of employees in conjunction with other location leaders

• Safeguards RIM’s culture

• Provides mentorship and coaching to employees; ensures best possible work environment

• Utilizes skill set/strengths of staff to maximize potential of the employee
