Kevin Wilcock Joins RIM as Principal
Mar 13, 2017
RIM Architects is proud to announce Kevin Wilcock AIA, LEED AP as our newest Principal in our Honolulu office. Utilizing his 35 years of experience in architecture and planning, Kevin will work closely with Kurt Mitchell, Managing Principal - Hawaii, to expand RIM’s work with multi-family affordable and market rate housing across all RIM offices.
Kevin’s portfolio of work ranges from commercial building to affordable and market rate multi-family housing, including more than 30 development projects totaling over 3000 housing units. Some of his noteworthy projects, from his 20 years of experience in the San Francisco market, include Potrero 1010, a market-rate urban mixed use project in the Potrero Hill neighborhood with a 1 acre public neighborhood park, and the Armstrong Place Senior and Family Housing project for which he and his team were awarded the 2012 Urban Land Institute (ULI) Global Award for Excellence. Kevin has been actively involved in AIA for 23 years and plans to continue his involvement as a member of the advisory group of the AIA National Committee on Design. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon and is a licensed architect in California and Hawaii.
Kevin moved to Oahu from the San Francisco Bay Area in 2016, when his daughter was accepted to the well-respected Punahou School. She will be the 4th generation on his wife, Leslie Fleming's, side of the family to attend Punahou. Leslie grew up in Kailua and her family has strong roots in the islands; her Great Grandfather was a prominent Hawaii architect, Hart Wood. Kevin is looking forward to commuting to the office by bicycle and getting involved with the local design community through the AIA and ULI. Welcome Kevin!
