Senior Medical Planner and Healthcare Architect

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NAAB accredited architectural degree
  • 10+ years’ experience as a licensed professional.
  • Extensive experience in healthcare design
  • Demonstrated success as lead project architect, medical planner, quality control/peer reviewer on healthcare projects
  • Extensive knowledge of building systems, detailing, local and state codes, regulations, and standards, specifically FGI and NFPA related to medical design
  • Respected leader, mentor, and collaborator of multiple team members
  • Proven track record of fostering and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Demonstrated expertise in team leadership, delegation, and conflict resolution
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation techniques
  • Expertise in documentation, negotiation, and contractual agreements
  • Direct project experience with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Authorized to work legally in the U.S. without restrictions
  • Certification or membership viewed favorably: American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA), Center for Healthcare Design, Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC), American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) or Hawaii Society of Healthcare Engineering (HiSHE)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead small-medium healthcare design projects independently and/or manage larger projects and team, as required:
    • Accountable for overall success of budget, schedule, and resources through the preparation, development, and maintenance of a project work plan
    • Preparation of fee proposals and participation in fee negotiations
    • Responsible for budget and schedule management during all phases of the project
    • Facilitate effective internal and external communication with project team members
  • Provide oversight, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to the junior staff
  • Assist with specific office management/operations/project management tasks as assigned
  • Participate as needed in business development, marketing, and interviews for pursuit of new work
  • Utilize effective leadership skills to proactively inspire, mentor, and coach less experienced staff
  • Contribute to advancing the firm’s quality assurance/quality control procedures and tools

RIM Architects, LLC provides student interns with the opportunity to build on what they have learned while making meaningful contributions in a real work environment. In this position, the team member is responsible for assisting in the preparation of architectural plans, sections, elevations, details, and presentation materials, as well as other drafting tasks under the direction and supervision of Project Architect(s). In performing these tasks, the team member will be expected to gain technical knowledge in the design and documentation of projects, gaining the ability to handle more complexity over time. 

 

The team member must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, quickly learn new and unfamiliar concepts and tasks, collaborate with other individuals in a constructive and effective manner, meet strict deadlines and manage competing priorities, all with a high quality of work and attention to detail. We particularly value resourceful and creative candidates that can anticipate the needs of the team and proactively look for ways to contribute to the success of a project.

 

This is a full-time hourly position, which may involve over 40 hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the team member must be able to occasionally work early/late hours to meet project demands.

  • Prepare scaled drawings and contract documents using Revit or AutoCAD
  • Research and identify products (finishes, fixtures, etc.)
  • Research codes and other standards as necessary for compliance
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, studies, and reports
  • Plan diagrams/layouts during schematic design, demonstrating an ability to arrange a unified design
  • Join team members on occasion for onsite observation of work during C.A. to monitor compliance with plans
  • Participate in on-site documentation of existing conditions
  • Assist in proper documentation of project files, RFI and submittal review, or other administrative tasks during all phases of projects

The Marketing Coordinator is an integral position primarily responsible for assisting with proposal creation and production for all RIM locations in support of winning new work. This position reports to the Marketing Manager.  It requires a high-level of collaboration with the marketing team and the nearly 70 employees at RIM.  The successful candidate will be talented, self-assured, organized and one who enjoys working with multiple locations in diverse time zones.  A positive and cheery disposition will fit right in with the team at RIM.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications preferred, with minimum 3 years proposal experience; or 5+ years of comparable experience with proposal writing
  • Experience in the A/E/C industry and specifically Federal Proposals highly preferred
  • Proficiency with Adobe CC and MS 365 required; knowledge of Deltek or another CRM a plus
  • Team mindset: ability to collaborate with the proposal team and remote staff
  • Skill set to understand the proposal process for multiple office locations utilizing team members across multiple time zones

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Research project leads, clients, consultants, and other information for winning work
  • Develop expertise in the Federal pursuit process utilizing tools such as GovWin and Sam.Gov
  • Assist with the process of creating excellent proposals and presentations
  • Ability to take direction and keep on schedule working with proposal writing team
  • Ensure quality proposals and presentation materials
  • Monitor and report on progress of proposals with Marketing Manager and Project Managers
  • Contribute to the process for data collection/filing required for resumes, project details, and narratives 
  • Collaborate with administrative and technical staff to collect information for proposal requirements 
  • Utilize Deltek for pursuits, projects, employee, and client maintenance 
  • Assist with project interview preparation 
  • Assure post-proposal debriefs are completed
  • Complete proposal close-out process
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager on other marketing communications/initiatives: website, social media, collateral, and internal and external communications, etc.
